This is a Recovery Dharma meeting that uses Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) approach to offer a unique blend of mindfulness-based recovery and evidence-based strategies for family support. Grounded in compassion, collective wisdom, and Buddhist inspired principles, these meetings provide a refuge for those affected by a loved one's addictive behaviors.
CRAFT’s adaptable and comprehensive framework helps participants learn effective communication, positive reinforcement, and self-care strategies. Research shows that CRAFT significantly increases the likelihood of treatment entry compared to traditional 12-Step methods or formal interventions.
Facilitated by trained volunteers with lived experience, each meeting focuses on the real-life challenges faced by family and friends of those struggling with addiction. Participants gain both practical tools and emotional support to foster healthier relationships while maintaining their own wellbeing. Recovery Dharma's emphasis on meditation and mindfulness complements the structured, skills-based nature of Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT). Together, these approaches empower individuals to respond with clarity, resilience, and compassion on the path to healing.
